Our old kitchen was ugly, small, broken and dilapidated. We hated cooking in it. Through family contacts we heard of the work of Gavin Hepper.
He consulted and collaborated with us at every stage of the project and kept us informed of costs and finishes throughout the design and building process. He worked with us to capture our needs and personalities in the finished product.
We now have exactly what we want and our kitchen is a delight to cook in and as I was the non-cook in the family before the renovation, I now love to cook.
When the kitchen was first finished we had friends come and see it and one friend, a professional property developer said that this was the most beautiful kitchen that he had ever seen with many similar comments from our other friends and family.
The kitchen with it's island bench has so many functions and has become a place for us to congregate, for our friends to be entertained and for all of us to cook together and eat it has become the centre of our home and our parties.
The absolute success of this project and subsequent design award is testimony to Gavin's sensitivity in blending our needs with his design experience and knowledge.

It was no accident how we had the fortunate dealings with Gavin Hepper. It was a recommendation from one of our family members that we must at least "give him a go" before considering another company. After our first meeting with Gavin, I can see why he was the one for the job. Not only did he ask that magical question "What is your budget?" he also had the time to educate his customers about the products he uses and the reason why he uses the products he stands by.
Gavin listens to what his customers want and not what he thinks they want. He treats everyone as an individual and we did get the kitchen designed they way we wanted all within the budget we could afford. The removal and installation of our kitchen was done in minimal time, there was no inconvenience to us at all, yet the end result of our kitchen was better than what we could have imagined, it was sensational and we do not have words to describe the quality of the workmanship. Gavin is "The Designer" for the 21st Century. We have continuous compliments from our friends and family and they too are truly amazed with the kitchen we have. He made sure that every space in our kitchen was easy access and practical. Gavin believes nothing is impossible, he will find ways to meet your requirements. This unique way of treating customers is simply by far and above my expectations "the sky's the limit".
Gavin meets the Australian Standards; only uses products that are Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA); gives you an approximation of how long it will take to complete your kitchen and when he advises you the date and time he will start the job, he is ready at your doorstep on that date and time he promised you. Just when you think there is no more he can offer, Gavin gives you a Home Warranty Insurance Certificate to cover the work that has been done should anything fail (which we doubt highly) as well as Care and Cleaning Instructions to maintain and maximise the life of your kitchen.
Gavin not only fulfilled our "dream kitchen" but he also left us with peace of mind and reassurance of a durable working kitchen and this is why we have no hesitation in recommending Concepts by Gavin Hepper to our friends and family.

Like most people that renovate we dreamed of our ultimate kitchen. We had lived with a kitchen made in the 1960's complete with a 1963 oven for nine years! When it came time to design our kitchen we looked at magazines and books, visited friends houses and went to showrooms, but we still wondered would our ideas work in the space we had.
Selecting a designer to realise our dreams was critical and after speaking with many designers and kitchen companies we chose Gavin Hepper. Gavin was able to understand our needs and edit our ideas so that the design of the kitchen was both functional and beautiful. Gavin worked with us each step of the process from design to selection of materials through to installation.
Every morning I walk in to the kitchen I fall in love with it all over again!

After considering a number of kitchen companies, we were grateful to discover Gavin Hepper. Gavin was both professional and easy to deal with, and the fact that he would manage the project from start to finish was very reassuring.
When it came to design, Gavin took the time to really understand our needs, and we never felt rushed to make decisions. Nothing was ever impossible, and Gavin was able to achieve even our more challenging design requirements, despite other kitchen companies claiming it wasn't achievable.
Gavin has a great eye for colour, and keeps up-to-date with the latest in materials, hardware and designs. He came up with clever design solutions to maximise the use of space, and keep our kitchen functional. Using Gavin's suggestions resulted in a visually stunning kitchen, as well as one which is highly practical, and a joy to use.
As far as installation went, we can't imagine anyone being more meticulous. Gavin is proud of his workmanship, and rightly so! We constantly receive compliments on our gorgeous kitchen, and everyone wants to know who achieved the great result.
After being so pleased with our kitchen, we asked Gavin to design and install a cupboard in our entry area. We now have a cupboard which is envied by all our friends - custom designed storage from floor to ceiling on the inside, as well as being visually stunning on the outside, and a focal point upon entry to our home.
We recommend Gavin to anyone interested in installing a new kitchen, or for any joinery work.

When we started out to totally redesign our kitchen and outdoor space, we did the usual thing and headed off to the kitchen show rooms and started to talk with friends about their experiences. Gavin Hepper had offered his services to us and we were interested in including him on the list of potential providers. Gavin had positioned his service with us on the basis of quality and service. We thought there was a risk with a private operator but through industry recommendations and our contact with Gavin, we became very comfortable that the risk was manageable.
As we embarked on the concept, design, finishes and colour components of the project it quickly became obvious that Gavin not only knew his business but had a real passion for his work and paid exquisite attention to the all important fine detail. At all times, Gavin connected each and every detail with the overall concept that we wanted to achieve.
Next came the installation, not only did he work closely with the builder and other trades, he was on site regularly to check and double check measurements and finished work of the other trades to ensure that the building works were correct, relative to each component of the kitchen. We were impressed!
As the installation commenced, Gavin coordinated and then installed all the cabinets. Precision was his mantra. The finished kitchen was exactly what we wanted but the service did not stop there, he has since promptly responded to a couple of requests for adjustments of draws and doors (the unusual stuff) and nothing has been a problem to him.
We have no hesitation in recommending Gavin. What he brings to the project is personal involvement from design to finishes, to installation, service the equal of nothing we have experienced, creative design and an excellent eye for detail. He is a first class operator who takes pride in his work, is easy to work with and takes you well away from the big production line factory approach of the other players in the industry.
