We recently did a complete kitchen renovation in our home in Russell Vale. We had spent a lot of time visiting the showrooms of companies that supposedly specialise in these things but we were not impressed with either the quality of what was on offer or the design process.

I am not sure how we found Gavin but we were sure glad we did!    He spent a lot of time with us on site discussing the possible designs, material, and product selection.  This can be quite time consuming as it usually involves multiple iterations but Gavin understood the importance of this process toward our happiness with the end result so he was committed to spending the time toward getting this right.  The quality of his design presentation, documentation and workmanship was simply outstanding.  Gavin is a perfectionist (as are we!).  He is willing to stand up to his suppliers if there is even the slightest issue with any of the materials……whether or not we would even notice.  Gavin came back on more than one occasion after the project was finished to ensure that everything was working properly and that we were completely happy.

Considering his time and attention to the design process, his expert workmanship, and the total cost…..we could not have been more pleased.  This was so much better value than any of the other alternatives.

We are extremely happy with our new kitchen and we continue to receive many compliments from friends and family.  They inevitably ask us who we used for the project.  We are happy to recommend Gavin without hesitation….even to our closest friends!

When we started out to totally redesign our kitchen and outdoor space, we did the usual thing and headed off to the kitchen show rooms and started to talk with friends about their experiences. Gavin Hepper had offered his services to us and we were interested in including him on the list of potential providers. Gavin had positioned his service with us on the basis of quality and service. We thought there was a risk with a private operator but through industry recommendations and our contact with Gavin, we became very comfortable that the risk was manageable.As we embarked on the concept, design, finishes and colour components of the project it quickly became obvious that Gavin not only knew his business but had a real passion for his work and paid exquisite attention to the all important fine detail. At all times, Gavin connected each and every detail with the overall concept that we wanted to achieve.

Next came the installation, not only did he work closely with the builder and other trades, he was on site regularly to check and double check measurements and finished work of the other trades to ensure that the building works were correct, relative to each component of the kitchen. We were impressed!

As the installation commenced, Gavin coordinated and then installed all the cabinets. Precision was his mantra. The finished kitchen was exactly what we wanted but the service did not stop there, he has since promptly responded to a couple of requests for adjustments of draws and doors (the unusual stuff) and nothing has been a problem to him.

We have no hesitation in recommending Gavin. What he brings to the project is personal involvement from design to finishes, to installation, service the equal of nothing we have experienced, creative design and an excellent eye for detail. He is a first class operator who takes pride in his work, is easy to work with and takes you well away from the big production line factory approach of the other players in the industry.

We were looking for a designer who specialized in high end residential projects and could handle a lot of the custom work we were planning on doing. Gavin is excellent, he understood my taste, he was fun to work with an even would do things beyond what I would expected him to do. After considering a number of kitchen companies, we were grateful to discover Gavin Hepper. Gavin was both professional and easy to deal with, and the fact that he would manage the project from start to finish was very reassuring.When it came to design, Gavin took the time to really understand our needs, and we never felt rushed to make decisions. Nothing was ever impossible, and Gavin was able to achieve even our more challenging design requirements, despite other kitchen companies claiming it wasn’t achievable.

Gavin has a great eye for colour, and keeps up-to-date with the latest in materials, hardware and designs. He came up with clever design solutions to maximize the use of space, and keep our kitchen functional. Using Gavin’s suggestions resulted in a visually stunning kitchen, as well as one which is highly practical, and a joy to use. We also had Gavin specify our wall paint colors and flooring as he has such an eye for colour and detail.

As far as installation went, we can’t imagine anyone being more meticulous. Gavin is proud of his workmanship, and rightly so! We constantly receive compliments on our gorgeous kitchen, and everyone wants to know who achieved the great result.

After being so pleased with our kitchen, we asked Gavin to design and install a cupboard in our entry area. We now have a cupboard which is envied by all our friends – custom designed storage from floor to ceiling on the inside, as well as being visually stunning on the outside, and a focal point upon entry to our home.

Like most people that renovate we dreamed of our ultimate kitchen.  We had lived with a kitchen made in the 1960’s complete with a 1963 oven for nine years!  When it came time to design our kitchen we looked at magazines and books, visited friends houses and went to showrooms, but we still wondered would our ideas work in the space we had.  Selecting a designer to realise our dreams was critical and after speaking with many designers and kitchen companies we chose Gavin Hepper.  Gavin was able to understand our needs and edit our ideas so that the design of the kitchen was both functional and beautiful.
